Catherine Annette Fisher
Sep 4, 2017She was born May 17, 1942 in Warsaw, daughter of the late Joseph and Agatha Aldrich Rucker. Catherine was employed for 45 years at the Wyoming County Community Hospital where she worked in the linen department prior to her retirement in 2002. She was a member of the New Beginnings Fellowship in Hermitage.Catherine was an avid quilter. She produced many intricate quilts over the years, winning a first place just last year at the Wyoming County Fair. One of Catherine’s great joys was attending, with her husband, the twice monthly get togethers of the “Breakfast Bunch”, a group of couples who met for years enjoying fellowship with each other. She also loved her role in life as mother and grandmother and was looking forward to the birth of her first great grandchild.Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Darold Fisher, whom she married on April 1, 1961; her children, Todd Fisher of Warsaw, Darryl (Rachel) Fisher of Warsaw, Dennis (Sarah) Fisher of Darien, Tammy Fisher of Warsaw; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild on the way; her sister-in-law, Peggy Rucker of Phoenix, Ariz.; several cousins. She was the sister of the late Martin Rucker.There are no calling hours. A celebration of Catherine’s life will be held at a date to be announced.
